About
I call myself both an artist and a craftsperson. I create objects and sculptures in metal to explore and invite viewers to new perspectives.
A strong driving force in my artistic practice is the questions themselves, philosophy is great. I'm inspired by what I don't understand, but which still somehow feels familiar. A good idea often feels like a memory somehow.
Creating is a way to process the world. It's a method for working with the question: "What the hell is this all really about?"
Past
I was born in Sweden and finished trade school in 2019. Following that line and working as a car mechanic for a few years, I eventually had enough and went away to study silversmithing at Leksands folkhögskola for two years. It was there that I realized I had to take my creativity seriously for my own sake and after two years of studying there, I went on to study metal art at the University of Gothenburg, where I am currently in my second year.
Future
My plans for the future are currently to complete my bachelor's degree at HDK – Metal Art. After that, I would like to join a collective workshop somewhere so that I can continue making after I graduate. It would also be a dream come true to get the artist-assistant grant and work alongside another artist, but I'd have to find someone first!
