About me

I call myself both an artist and a craftsperson. I create objects and sculptures to explore and invite viewers to new perspectives.

Curiosity in the material and my love for philosophy often work as fuel for the conceptual side of the things I make, but what drives me in the making process is the pure joy of working with my hands. When I feel butterflies in my stomach and my mouth starts watering then I know I'm on the right track!

I primarily work with metal although I often combine it with other mediums to create interesting dialogues- be it between textures and tactility, forms or ideas. It is a very versatile material that I am confident with and there exists an endless amount of knowledge and tools to work with it, I love it.

Past

I was born in Sweden and finished trade school in 2019. Following that line and working as a car mechanic for a few years, I eventually had enough and went away to study silversmithing at Leksands folkhögskola for two years. It was there that I realized I had to take my creativity seriously for my own sake and after two years of studying there, I went on to study metal art at the University of Gothenburg, where I am currently in my second year.

Future

The future plans for now is to finish my bachelor at HDK - Metal art. What happens after that I'm not sure about, but I do know that I want to work with art full time. It would be a dream come true to get an artist-assistant grant and work alongside another artist!
